Made in Lombok, shaped together
The idea for Luana existed long before there were rooms, pools or a restaurant.
Hannah first travelled and surfed through Indonesia around 11 years ago and kept coming back to Lombok for its nature, its waves and the people who made the island feel different from anywhere else she had been. Somewhere along the way the dream took shape: her own place in Selong Belanak, where people would be genuinely looked after and feel at home from the first morning.
It took years of saving, planning and working towards it. Luana began taking shape in 2023, and the first rooms opened in 2024 — built with the knowledge, patience and hard work of the local team and the community around us.
That has not changed. Luana is run day to day by people from Lombok, and what the place feels like now is as much theirs as anyone's. When guests tell us they felt at home after a day or two, it is usually the team they are talking about.
